What is that?

The plugin allows you to insert your restaurant's reservation form into a page of your website (made using the Wordpress CMS). After configuring it, just insert a simple shortcode on the page and an iFrame with the form will appear.

Choice of plugin

If your restaurant's form is set up for the sale of products (either at the same time as the restaurant reservation or in the form of vouchers or products that can be purchased separately) you will need to install the version of the plugin "with product sale". Remember to tell us on which website (domain name) you will publish the form. In this case the plugin manages both the forms with the sale of products and those without (you don't need two separate plugins).

If you don't sell products then just install the "standard" plugin.

Installation and configuration

Before installing the plugin it is necessary to identify the short name of the restaurant: it corresponds to the text that appears in the URL that leads to the application, before "prenota-web.it. E.g. If the URL of your application is "https:/ /demo.prenota-web.it" the short code of the restaurant will be demo.

Once installed and activated, you need to go to "Settings" > "Opzioni Prenota Web" for configuration.

In the "company slug" field you need to enter the short name of the restaurant.

If your site has a navigation bar that is always visible at the top (even when scrolling), the so-called "sticky bar", it is advisable to also fill the "Header offset" field by entering the value of the height of the bar in pixels (e.g. 100).

At this point the changes can be saved.

Using the shortcode

At this point you will have the shortcode [prenotaweb] available to insert into any page of the site.

The shortcode will automatically generate an iframe with the form and a script that allows for the automatic lengthening and shortening of the iFrame height based on the content of the form.

Two forms (two shortcodes) cannot be placed on the same page.

Basic parameters

To insert the form in a different language you need to add the language parameter, e.g. [prenotaweb lang="en"], obviously on the corresponding English page.

To enter the form of an additional venue or the voucher purchase form, you need to identify the short name of the venue. In this case, if the link to the form is, for example "https://demo.prenota-web.it/prenotazioni/?ristorante=voucher&lang=it", the short name of the venue is "voucher".

Once the short name of the venue has been identified, the shortcode will be composed as follows [prenotaweb rest="voucher"].
